The Final Evolution of the Maritimo S50
As the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show approaches, the new Maritimo S50 Sedan Motor Yacht is entering its final stages of development, revealing a vessel that signals a bold evolution in Maritimo’s design language while remaining deeply connected to the brand’s offshore cruising heritage.

With its sculpted profile, flowing lines and dramatically open main deck layout, the S50 introduces a more contemporary expression of luxury motor yacht design without compromising the practicality and robustness Maritimo is known for.
Every stage of the build now highlights how carefully the yacht has been conceived, from its reimagined entertaining spaces to the finer craftsmanship details currently being completed by hand inside the vessel.
A More Contemporary Interpretation of the Maritimo DNA

The S50 immediately stands apart through its sleek silhouette and refined exterior detailing.
Distinctive striping, softer curves and a more dynamic roofline create a noticeably more modern aesthetic, while still preserving the strong proportions and confident stance associated with Maritimo motor yachts.
Particular attention has been given to the relationship between exterior styling and onboard liveability. The yacht’s streamlined appearance conceals a surprisingly spacious interior volume, especially within the Main Saloon where elevated roof heights and expansive glazing dramatically enhance the sense of openness.
Large side windows, opening sections and a central glass skylight flood the interior with natural light while encouraging continuous airflow throughout the main deck.
The result is an environment that feels bright, connected to the sea and naturally suited to Mediterranean-style indoor-outdoor living.
A Main Deck Designed Around Space and Flow

One of the defining characteristics of the S50 is its seamless integration between the cockpit, saloon and helm areas.
The yacht has been designed to create uninterrupted movement throughout the main entertaining zones, allowing owners and guests to transition effortlessly between outdoor dining, social seating and interior living spaces.
Finished in a modern oak aesthetic, the first S50 showcases a softer and more contemporary interior atmosphere while still maintaining Maritimo’s signature craftsmanship and durability.
The connection between the swim platform, BBQ area, cockpit and galley reinforces the yacht’s focus on relaxed, long-range cruising where extended time onboard feels natural and comfortable.
For existing Maritimo owners looking to downsize without sacrificing luxury or functionality, the S50 presents a particularly compelling proposition.
Proven Accommodation with Enhanced Comfort

Below deck, the S50 retains the highly regarded two-cabin arrangement introduced in the M50 Flybridge Motor Yacht.
Both staterooms have been designed to maximise liveability, offering generous proportions, ample storage and adjoining bathrooms that feel more residential than traditional yacht accommodation.
The layout has already proven popular among both existing Maritimo owners and newcomers to the brand due to its emphasis on comfort during extended stays onboard.
Final Construction and Craftsmanship

With major systems installation now complete, including engines, plumbing, electrical systems and panoramic glazing, the yacht has officially moved beyond the initial fitout phase.
Attention has now shifted entirely toward the installation of the handcrafted timber elements and finishing details that define the yacht’s interior character.
Appliances including washer and dryer units, refrigeration, dishwasher drawers, cooktops, ovens and icemakers are also being integrated, preparing the S50 for its intended role as a highly self-sufficient long-range cruising platform.
According to Maritimo Manufacturing Manager Paul Wrench, the final assembly stage requires extraordinary care and precision.
“Everything has been meticulously prepared and hand-finished by the team here at Maritimo,” Wrench explained. “Now the focus is on fitting each component carefully, making fine adjustments where needed and ensuring the final result meets the standards we expect from every Maritimo build.”
A Stronger European Influence

Wrench also noted that the S50 introduces a more European-inspired styling direction while still maintaining Maritimo’s renowned offshore capability and structural integrity.
“This yacht carries a genuine European influence without moving away from the strength and practicality Maritimo is known for,” he said.
“The changes extend far beyond the roofline or the redesigned rear C-pillar. Even the engine room ventilation system has been refined to appear sleeker and more integrated. The entire main deck is completely new, allowing us to focus heavily on innovation in the areas that matter most.”
Redesigned Cockpit and Functional Innovation

One of the most visually striking additions to the S50 is the newly developed rear boot structure.
Integrated cockpit seating has been moulded directly into the design, effectively extending the cockpit by approximately 300mm while also housing the BBQ and sink area.
The styling mirrors the flowing design language of the roof structure, reinforcing the yacht’s cohesive visual identity.
According to Wrench, the result may represent the most stylistically refined S-Series yacht Maritimo has produced to date.
Beneath the electrically actuated lifting boot, the lazarette accommodates substantial onboard systems and storage, including:
– 300-litre black water capacity
– 700 litres of fresh water storage
– Maritimo’s race-derived steering systems
– Dedicated fishing rod and equipment storage
Directly aft sits the yacht’s innovative lowering swim platform, which folds neatly into position behind the trailing edge of the boot when raised.
The Main Saloon: The Centrepiece of the S50

While the exterior styling is undoubtedly striking, it is the Main Saloon that will likely define the S50 experience for most owners.
The space has been designed to feel exceptionally open and social, with uninterrupted sightlines, elevated headroom and strong visual connection to the surrounding water.
The galley layout plays a major role in this functionality.
Positioned to port upon entry, the galley features a full-height domestic refrigerator, cooktop, oven, dishwasher drawer and extensive cabinetry, all illuminated naturally by the expansive side glazing.
Additional refrigeration, pantry storage and integrated cabinetry continue throughout the space, carefully designed to support long-range cruising and extended onboard living.
Opposite the galley, the helm area introduces Maritimo’s new floating dash design, while the forward dinette arrangement can also convert into a large additional sleeping area when required.
Designed for Real Offshore Living
Throughout the yacht, it becomes increasingly clear that the S50 was never intended as a simple downsized variation of a larger platform.
Instead, the yacht has been developed around a very deliberate owner-operator philosophy where every design decision serves functionality as much as aesthetics.
Maritimo’s longstanding approach to yacht building remains evident throughout the vessel: innovation should enhance usability, not simply visual impact.
The S50 embodies this philosophy through thoughtful storage, connected living spaces, practical cruising systems and refined craftsmanship that support genuine long-range boating lifestyles.
A New Chapter for Maritimo
Rather than relying on one defining innovation, the Maritimo S50 succeeds through the consistency and refinement of every detail onboard.
In an industry where styling can often overshadow functionality, the S50 demonstrates that true luxury comes from balancing both equally well.
More than simply introducing a new model, the S50 signals the direction of Maritimo’s future design evolution, blending proven offshore capability with a more progressive interpretation of contemporary luxury motor yacht living.
The upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show will offer the first full opportunity to experience the S50 in person and appreciate the complete vision behind what may become one of Maritimo’s most significant sedan motor yachts to date.
